Who Are These People
It's great to see an increase in the number of new people joining the resources community here on deviantART. Since we have so many new people coming on board, I thought it would be a good time to introduce or reintroduce the team.
bleedsopretty covers all resources other than stock. She is really passionate about fonts and textures. And, while she is quite young, she has been a gallery director longer than anyone else on the team.
UnicornReality handles stock. She's passionate about everything related to stock and is very approachable. She frequents :#arstock: daily so pop in and say hello.
znow-white also covers all resources other than stock and has put in a lot of time behind the scenes cleaning up the gallery and coming up with new ideas. She can be found in :#resources: you should stop in and visit with her.
Lyastri also handles stock and she is the chat communications expert on the team known to be connected to many, many rooms at any given moment. She's currently away due to real life constraints, but when she is around you can find her in :#arstock: and :#resources: among other places.
I'm currently bouncing between stock and resources. The Unrestricted Use Directory and finding new ways to organize the gallery are among the things I'm focused on.
Stock Image Guidelines
If you are a new stock artists, please be aware of the following guidelines that apply to stock submissions.
* Size must be a MINIMUM of 600x600pixels (excluding vintage portraits that are relatively small and of low quality)
* No heavy distortion due to blur/noise/grain (this rule is case-by-case and at the gallery director's discretion for the useability of the image in question.)
* No webcams or cell phone images
* No sexually explicit imagery
Another rule not specifically mentioned above is redistribution of stock. You cannot submit stock that contains stock from other websites or from artists here on deviantART unless you have permission to do so. This also applies to brushes and all other resources.
These guidelines were establish to reduce the amount of unusable stock in the gallery. If you find one of your images has been removed. Please do not take offense. If you would like to discuss the matter with someone that can help you, just reply to the note that you receive.
Also, for those that report violations, please note that the guidelines state heavy distortion due to blur/noise/grain. We all have to keep in mind that there are people at various levels in stock just like any other gallery on deviantART.
If you have questions about where to place something in the gallery, need help with something related to stock or any other resources, we are here to help you. Don't hestitate to contact one of us. If we don't know the answer, there's a good chance we know someone that does.
When sending DD suggestions, please only send a specific suggestion to one gallery directory. You can find a complete listing of all gallery directors here.
